Mission

MRD believes that every individual and family deserves access to resources and services to not only survive, but thrive. We provide unique direct services to those in need who would otherwise not be able to access or afford them to support and empower.

MRD stands for Make a Real Difference - we are a 501-(c)(3) nonprofit (20-3363120) that started in Northern Nevada, and is now launching chapters around the country.

MRD NorCal Chapter provides direct services to children and families to help support and empower them

We offer various community classes and support groups for children, youth, adults and parents. We strive to empower individuals and families by highlighting and building on their strengths, and through direct services that educate and increase awareness. MRD uses a trauma-informed, holistic, and somatic-framed reference depending on the service being provided. At MRD NorCal, we pride ourselves on creating a sense of community and increasing connection by bringing people together in community-based classes.

MRD NorCal also collects clothing, food and donations to directly give to children, youth, adults, and families in need.
